RSPCA WA Inc.

The RSPCA in WA continually endeavours to prevent animal cruelty by promoting responsible animal ownership, care and protection. The Education Unit plays an essential role in supporting the Society’s mission by providing state-wide educational services and resources for teachers.
The RSPCA Education and Training Unit has been providing educational programs for school age children and adults since February 2002. The education unit caters for students of all ages and plays host to schools at the RSPCA shelter, visits schools and other premises, develops resource material for primary and secondary schools and forms links with schools or other groups to support animal welfare.
The education team offers the opportunity for students to visit the RSPCA animal shelter at Malaga and be involved in a wide range of learning experiences. The Education Unit facilities include:
- A fully-equipped, large education room;
- A pet barn housing commonly kept pets; and
- Access to the RSPCA shelter.
The RSPCA Education and Training Unit also conducts school holiday programs that cater for children from kindergarten age to 16 year olds in a range of age appropriate sessions. These sessions are extremely popular and bookings are essential.
