My Best Friend Veterinary Home Euthanasia Services

Helping you to make the best decision for Your Best Friend.  My Best Friend provides a special service for elderly and terminally ill companion animals. It is a compassionate and personalised Veterinary service that comes to you in the privacy and comfort of your own home, at a time that is best suited for your family.  Dr. Emma Whiston owns and operates My Best Friend. She is a qualified and registered Veterinarian with over thirteen years of experience. Emma has a particular interest in the areas of geriatric medicine, palliative care, euthanasia and bereavement. She understands the difficulties that may be associated with the management of the final stages of your pet’s life.   Emma is a caring and understanding veterinarian, who will carefully assess the health and quality of life of your pet. Consultations are based on an hour, so that there is plenty of time to discuss any concerns that you may have. In many cases now, it is often possible to help ease geriatric health problems and improve comfort levels. Alternatively, you may be wondering if the time has come to have your pet euthanased or ‘put to sleep’. Thankfully, euthanasia of our animal friends is a legal, humane and valid option, which often takes much courage and kindness. It is an act of compassion. The word euthanasia literally means ‘a good death’ and My Best Friend is committed to helping this sad time to be as positive and peaceful as possible for you and your pet.

My Best Friend is able to help you make the best decision possible for your best friend.
